The HESTA Australian Nursing & Midwifery Awards are the premier platform through which the outstanding contributions of nurses, midwives, nurse educators, researchers and personal care workers are recognised.
An impressive $30,000 in prize money will be shared amongst three deserving winners in the following categories:
- Outstanding organisation
- Midwife of the year
- Nurse of the year
Whether you self-nominate or someone else puts your name forward, these awards are a wonderful way to showcase your dedication and highlight the positive outcomes that result from your commitment to the caring profession.
How do I get started?
Nominations for the HESTA Awards are already underway. You can begin here: https://businessesoftomorrow.com.au/requirements
What’s the entry format?
Entry is free and each category consists of four questions, each with a 400-word limit.
Questions are centred around the contribution you’ve made to improving care and outcomes, how you’ve demonstrated understanding and advocacy, and how you’ll use your prize money to further your professional development.
TOP TIP: Although all entries must be uploaded directly into the online template, it’s a good idea to create your submission in a Word document first. Once you’re 100 per cent happy with your entry, you can cut and paste your answers with confidence.
When do entries open and what’s the deadline?
Entries are already open and close on 9 February.
