• Limited time and in-house resources to write award submissions

Our approach

Proof Communication synthesized the information Cairns Airport Parking provided and re-worked it to ensure that their award entry was clearly structured and addressed the submission requirements.

Cairns Airport Parking was thrilled to win:
Winner – Outstanding Customer Service at Parking Australia’s national Parking Industry Awards 2018

Manager Commercial Passenger Products, Lena Zaltash says, “We couldn’t have done it without Proof Communications. We knew what we wanted to say, but we just didn’t have the time nor the internal resources to sit down and put an entry together.

“Glynis’ expertise made the experience so much easier. She ensured our entry had a winning form; she knew exactly what to focus on, and what to draw the reader’s attention to. She stayed calm and was fantastic to deal with throughout the entire process.”

Winning the award has done wonders for internal morale. “This win has really boosted the profile of the team on the ground: the customer service operators themselves. The highest level of leadership in our business is now more aware of the hard work they’re doing, day-in day-out, regardless of the crazy weather. Compliments continue to flow in – it’s incredible.”

The award has also raised Cairns Airport’s profile in the industry. This is the airport’s second award win in as many years (in 2017 they took home the award for Outstanding Marketing & Communications at the Parking Industry Awards), and the team will be leveraging the win in a number of significant marketing campaigns over the next 12 months.

“Most people don’t think of carparks as ‘award-winning’ facilities,” explains Lena. “We’re now the proud operators of a very rare thing: an award-winning carpark. This is definitely something to shout about.”
